My Little Natives Of The Hut!

A Note To My Followers:

I need your help! As well all know September is the month for fashion and that means Fashions Night Out is coming. I live in New York and was planning on attending a few events but sadly its on a Thursday and I work on Friday.

Of course as a blogger I should because I want to be as devoted to this blog as I can be and build it up to my expectations and aspirations.

Now as my followers I would like to hear from you, are interested in seeing what hitting the streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan? Should I go?

Where have you been?

A Note To My Beloved Followers:

Hello all, lately I’ve received a great flow of new followers and I wanted to formally welcome you all to The Style Hut. I greatly appreciate it!

Usually, I display a series of post weekly but I have neglected my duties due to the daily struggle that is life. But that is done and over with and I promise that I will come back and produce quality posts.

I would also like that my followers become apart of The Style Hut by submitting anything they feel is fashion related, including their own looks, and by asking questions. I enjoy giving a piece of my own style advise and I love finding looks for less. ;)

Now that’s all said and done, I would love to show off my “new look” - here are a few simple looks I’ve put together these past days.

Short Hair, Don’t Care:

Now come be apart of The Style Hut!

To Love Oneself

A Note To My Beloved Followers:

Is the issue weight? Self-esteem? Society? Self control? Jealousy? No. The issue is to love oneself. Has it not always been an issue?

I’m 145 lbs, I’m 5’3”, I range from a size 7 - 9 in bottoms, a medium in tops, and primarily a size 8 in dresses.  What would you consider that? Fat, chubby, skinny, average, short, tall? Does it matter? No.

Keep this in mind, NUMBERS DO NOT DEFINE YOU!

We all have insecurities and that’s okay, but do you have a negative or positive body image?

“With a positive or healthy body image, a woman has a real perception of her size and shape. She also feels comfortable with her body. With a negative body image, a woman has a distorted perception of her shape and size, compares her body to others, and feels shame and anxiety about her body. Being unhappy with your body can affect how you think and feel about yourself as a person. A poor body image can lead to emotional distress, low self-esteem, unhealthy dieting habits, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Developing a positive body image and a healthy mental attitude is crucial to a woman’s happiness and wellness. […] We all want to look our best, but a healthy body is not always linked to appearance. In fact, healthy bodies come in all shapes and sizes! Changing your body image means changing the way you think about your body. At the same time, healthy lifestyle choices are also key to improving body image.” -WomansHealth

Take a look in the mirror, do you like what you see? You should because you’re beautiful. But if you don’t, change it.

Simple Tips To Stay Healthy:

  • Make a habit of eating healthy. Now, I’m not here to give you advise on how to lose weight, but now and again its good to indulge in a nourishing and beneficial meal. Nothing makes me feel better than refreshing salad with grilled chicken.
  • Stay active. I hate exercising, but that doesn’t mean I don’t stay active. If it’s a nice day, go for a walk or bike ride.
  • Try participating in activities you enjoy. the best stress reliever is simply having fun!
  • Rest! Lack of proper rest causes stress, anxiety, weight gain, and depression. There is a such thing as beauty rest. ;)

Remember, nothing is more attractive than a woman’s confidence!

“To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.”

-Oscar Wilde

(The reason I wrote this post was because I believe that we’re all beautiful. I added these pictures of myself to you show that I do have some imperfections and insecurities, but I love my body and day-to-day I have become more comfortable with the skin I’m in.)
